Last month, Richard Tarnas gave a lecture for the California Institute of Integral Studies titled, On Depth Psychology, Spirituality, and the Human Journey and at the end gave me a special shoutout as an archetypal astrologer he recommends for readings. It was so kind of him to think of me, and it’s an honor to be on his list of preferred astrologers. I’ve since seen an uptick in bookings and have opened up a bit more availability to accommodate new clients. If you are someone who found me via this lecture, welcome!
This lecture was a bit of a departure from Rick’s usual yearly forecast given to CIIS’ Public Programs. Instead of diving into the nuances of the year ahead, he dove further into the depths of Archetypal Cosmology as an essential resource for growth and meaning. If you have any real interest in Archetypal Cosmology, Depth or Transpersonal Psychology, or are simply seeking sense amidst the madness of our current moment, I highly recommend this lecture.
Speaking of forecasts, the most common question I have received this year – from friends, clients, and even neighbors who know what I do – is what is happening and will it get worse?
With the lens of Archetypal Astrology we aren’t as focused on concrete predictions, but we can see great waves of potential. I have been reticent to publish my thoughts the confluence of politics and cosmos here, concerned that it may not help things, but would instead exacerbate the anxieties that so many of us are living with daily. I’m also hesitant because I honestly don’t know exactly what’s going to happen – nor do I honestly want to. If Archetypal Astrology has taught me anything, it’s that the universe (or whatever we want to call it) is infinitely more creative than my tiny little mind, and although I can come up with some likely scenarios, the cosmos always will do something more structurally poetic than I could imagine.
Still, on a personal level, it’s been nice to see the timelines for some of these more difficult transits we’ve been in, and that continue to arrive and unfold. So, I’ll write here, now, that I plan to begin writing forecasts. I’m not totally sure if this blog is the best place for them, but it’s as good a place as any to start. I hope they’re good and I hope even more that they help.
Until then, watch Rick’s lecture above, and let me know if you’d like to get a reading where we look at your personal blueprint for navigating these strange days.
